Of the Springbok test side all took part in the trials at Pretoria but Van Der Schyff, Moss, Marais and Brewis, all backs, failed to gain inclusion in the 32 players originally announced as Springbok possibilities. Duvenhage, though reaching the veteran stage, is regarded as the most penetrative back5 that South Africa has had for years. The All Blacks have not yet seen him in .action. . - j- ■' - -
