GREYMOUTH, July 11. For carrying on the business of a bookmaker, Alexander Morrison Jones, aged 37, of Greymouth, who pleaded guilty, was convicted and fined £50 by Justices in the Police Court, at Greymouth, this morning. Accused admitted taking bets, chiefly 5s or 10s. He was convicted and fined £30 on a gaming charge in April, 1946.
