Gan Dog Club Holds Annual Meeting
A successful year of aotivity was reviewed by the president, Mr. A. Joblin, at the annual . meeting of the Horo whenua Gun Dog Club, held in Levin this week. He cqmmented on the enthusjasm of members and pointed to the good effect this had had on the elttb's operations. He said it was gratifying to nofe that the clab had been successful in obtaining the North Island all breeds championship, scheduled for September 24 and 25. The Waikawa trial grounds were reputed to be the hest in the North Is and, qqntiniied Mr. Joblin, and the club was fortunate in having the use of them. The club would commende the new year with a substantial credit balance and the addition of ten new members. This was an excellent featpre, he added, The following offlcers were then elected: — Patron: Mr. j. P. Connell; president: Mr. A. Joblin; vicepresidents: Dr. E. "T. G. Miller and Mgssrs H. McGuire and C. B. Greenaway; secret'ary, Mr. W. I. Urquhart; treasyrer, Mr. Greena- l away; ladies' committee: Mes- 1 dames Haley, McGuire and " Walker; trophy committee: Mrs. McGuire and Messrs McGuire, Greenaway and Urquhart; ofiicial guns: Messrs W. 'Donnehy, C. Drake, Joblin, McGuire and Connell. It was decided that the membership fee remain the same as in past years,
