HASTINGS, July 4. Disqualification^for three- nionths was , imjiosed o'n A. WG Meikle;-.' part-owner. of the racehorse Pimlico, and L. W. Ford, rider of Pimlico in the Hawke 's Bay Hurdles at Hastings on Saturday, when the adjourned inquiry into the horse 's running in the Hawke's Bav Hurdles which opened on Saturday, concluded at Hastings today. Meikle and Ford were charged by Stipendiary Steward B. N. Sandilands, with not. running the horse in its merits on Sat urday. In fixing the penalty the committee took into consideration the fact that most horses raced by Meildc are steeplecnase and hurdle horpes an(l they will iniss racing for all the re mainder of this season. Eord, being a hnrdle jockey, will also be suflicientlv penalised. The committee agreed thut J. Jerrat, part-owner of Pimiico, was uot eoucerned and is tlierefore exo.nerated. Mr. Meikle owns the racehorese Skywriter, an aceeptor for the Wellington Steepleehase, Ivohuniu, Charivari au.l Green Light/ and is part-owner of .Diplomat and Morocco.
