Maori Girl Killed By Train At Paekakariki

WELLINGTON, July 1. Caught between a train and the platform .at Paekakariki., .railway stati.on this evening, a young Maori girl was fatally injured. She was: HELEN BROWN, of Raumati' Road, Paraparaumu. - ' 8he received a fraetured skull and in !,ernal injuries and died before medical help arrived. She slipped and fell between the carriage and the platform. The train wa.immediately stopped and she was lifted clear and taken to the stationmaster 's office but died.
