He' has now hit 933 runs during the tour. , BUrke also made his highest score of the tour and showed a nice ability to cut. Combined Services made another poor start, but May and Manners came together in a fine partnership of 94 in 1 hr. 53 mins. Sutcliffe, who is provihg himself a most useful boiyler, broke the stand by getting May leg before and in the same over had Ford stumped. Manners batted very well for his century in 2 hrs. 20 mins. He was bowled by Cresswell, who had been very accurate throughout the afternoon. Details:—
