MR. NASH TO ATTEND
WELLINGTON, June 30. The Prime Minister made the following statement in the TTouse Of Representatives this afternoon. This situation has heen engaging the close attention of all rommonwealth countries and nartieularlv the TTnited Kin,Tdom as the one orincipallv concnrned. l"n accordanfe with the practiee of con=ultations hetween membera of the Oommonwpalth on matters of common concprn. the TTnited Kingdom has accordinglv arranged for a eonferencp of British Commonwpalth Finance Ministers to be held in T.ondon towards tlm middlp of next month to give urgent eonsidprat.ion to measnres rec|uired to deal with this situatio7i. An invitation has boen received from Mr. Attlee for Mr. Xnsh to attend this meeting. " Corresnondence is still pi-oceedinr and a further announcement will bp made when arrangements have been completed, but T feel that the Hou.sf ^hould know that it has been decbled this morning by Cabinet- that New" Zealand' should a^cept the invi+ation and- that Mr. Nash will n"oordingly leave for London next week."
