Croquet Club Holds Its Annual Meeting

' The annuai meeting of Levin Croquet Club was held in St. Mary's Hall on Tuesday, when there was a good atten'dance of members. 1 The annuai report on the season's ac'tivities was presented , by the president, Mrs. W. Bull, and a very satisfactory balance sheet hy the treasurer, Mrs. A. Mason. The season had been a most successful one, s^id the report, and the club" was to be congratulated on winning the banner for inter-club play and a^o the Sherwood Cup. Special thanks were accorded the gentlemen who had helped with the marking out of the lawns and also the top dressing. The caretaker, Mr. Merring, an'd the green supei;visor, Mrs. H. Wenham, were to he commended on the way the lawns had been kent during the season. ■ The following.officers were elected for the forthcoming year:— Patron: Mr. H. B. Burdekin; president: Mrs. A. O. Powell; vice-nresi-dents; Mesdames W. Pull and J. Holdaway; hon. vice-presidents: Mesdames L. Suhan, W. Lett and C. Sherwood; secretary: Mfs. A. Gilmour; treasurer: Mrs. A. Mason; captain: Mrs. A. Mu'dgway; general committee: Mesdames Powell, Bull, Holdaway, Gilmour, Mason, MUdgway, Wenham/ Boulton, Findlater and' Dalzell ; ' green J' 4 committee : Mesdames H. Wenham.
