Children On Dairy Farm.

Three charges arising out of the employment of children on a dairy farm were admitted by K. B. March, of Oakura, f»in the New Plymouth Magistrate's Court yesterday. 'Mr. Woodward, S.M., commented on the curious nature of the case. It w;as stated the children, ( whose stepfather was also employed by Marsh, , each received £i weekly. The boy worked from 5 a.m. to 8«p.m. during the school holidays and 5 a.m. : to 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. during the term. He had no time ; off from milkings as required by - the Act. Fines totalling £10 were imposed.
