Personal. - % Mrs. J* Martin, of Wanganui, has . been visiting Mr. and Mrs. B. Henshaw, Tretoria Road. The local friends of Mr. G. W. - Cundy, a former -Shannon resident Who now lives in Foxton, Will' regret to hear • that he is an inmate of the Palmerston North Hospital. New Industries Foi* Foxton. "During the week I was- ap- ? proached in connection with the furthering of a new industry in Foxton," said the president, Mr. E. A. Field, at a xecent meeting of the Foxton Chamber * of Commerce. "Personally, I think that' this body should do all in its power to seeure as many new industries as possible here, but I woul'd like to have. the feeling of members on the matter." Mr. F. England said that Foxton would never progress if industries were kept out. Members endprsed this view and .were unanimous in supporting any new ventures.
