WELLINGTON, June 24. The Price Tribunal has announced that the prices of motor-ear and truck tyres will be reduced by sOven and ahalf per eent and the prices of tubes by three and one-third per eeiit from dnly 1;- These TeductidJiB, ■vfthich be gazetted . next week, were in addition to the price cuts which the tyre eompanies voluntarily made on the occasion of the restoration of New Zealand exchange to sterling paritv. The present reductions combined with the earlier ones meant a total reduction of about 15 per cent on the prices of tyres and about 22i por cent on the -prices of tubes in existence before August, 1948.
