New Zealander Determined To Be A Bullfighter
AUCKLAND, June 24. Reeovering from injuries he suffered when he was gored by a bull in' Spain, Vincent Hiteheoek — the bullfighter brother of Mrs Myrtle Turn- ■ ball, of Whenuapai, Auckland — is determined to continue his career. Letters received by Mrs Turnball yesterday from his parents v stated they were flying from England to Spain to try to persuade Vincent to return home. ' ' Vincent has been made too much fuss of in Spain to give it up now, I believe,," Mrs Turnball said. Her fathef wrote: "lf I .ean't ' persuade him to give up bullfighting, I know it can end only one "way," Mrs Turnball said that when her brother went to the Spanish Consulate in London for a visa he had to give a reason for his visit. He wrote: "To be a bullfighter." The clerk raised his eyebrows and said: "You have seen a bullfight, senoor? — Yes. "You have seen a man thrown by a bull * "—Yes. "And you still want to. be a bullfighter ? "—Yes. Vincent got- his visa.
