Donovan Wins 35-Mile Road Race
The round trip from Levin to Shannon, Shannon to Foxton and back to Levin was comp^ted by local road cyclists on Saturday, Harry Donovan completing the distance in the fastest time of 1 hr. 24 mimi, with John Taylor making second fsstest time of 1 hr. 25 mins., and Owen ConnoTy 1 hr. 26 mins. The distance was 35 miles and the placings were: Connolly 1, Alan Rolston 2, Malcolm Harper 3. On their performances to date Connolly, M. Harper, Donovah, John Taylor and Don Yeates show that they are fit and right on form. They should he in good condition for the open road races from Pa1merston North to Bulls, Palmerston North to Wanganui and Palmerston North to Wellington. Don Yeates has the right idea and you can find him any Tuesday and Thursday night with the Wanderers Football Club's P.T. classes.
