The Moutoa Drainage Board and the Mapawatu-Oroua River Board wrote to the Manawatu Catchnient Board yesterday drawing attention to the desirability pf closing off en--tirely the flow of the Manawata River through the old loop at Foxton. The suggestion that the ehief engineer make a survey of the position and if the position was as stated, to take action to bring the: matter before the Soil Conservation and Riyers Qontrol Council, was adopted. ..
