Koputaroa W.I. Celebrates Its Birthday
The seventh birthday of the Koputaroa Women's Institute wds celebrated recently. The president, Mrs, E. Baker, welcomed members and visitors from neighbouring institutes. During the afternoon songs were ren.dered by Mesdames Sutcliffe, Btrjatton and Firby, with accompaniments played by Mesdames Ta.it and Hurhman. Recitations gi'ven by Mrs. Hair were well received. The junior members presented a song and dance jtejn, those taking part being Marle Brown, Marion Hood, Beverley Borgan, Deborah Guy, Kit Perawiti, Jpnnifer MUe.r and Elsie Stratton. The lycky visitor proyed to" be Mrs. C, Good and ihe holder of the lucky cup was Mrs. Miller. During the afternoon a farewell gift was presented to Mrs. Firby.
