Want Recognition For New Chinese Government

Received Friday, 10.10 a.m. SHANGHAI, June 16. Shanghai's foreign commercial and financial leaders are almost unanimous in the opinion that immediate recognition shnfiid be accorded when the Central People's Government is established. This was disclosed in a survey made today. Such action would undoubtedly be beneficial to foreign organisations in the course of their business, it was said, although several influential British industrial representatives admitted that even without recognition foreign U'ade in North China was already expanding satisfactorily. A central ' administration, to assume the role of the Government, is expected to be proclaimed early in the autumn
