INVERCARGILL, June 15. Early morning radio enthusiasts seekihg Rugby results from Soutli Africa, no longer need, endeavour to secure clirect communication. Arrangements liave been made with the Australian Broadcasting Commission to use the Perth shortwave station in the
transmisison of a 20-minute commentary from South Africa. This comment- 1 ary may be heard on the 31 metre band on a frequency of 9610 kilocycles. It was sta'rted last weekend but no official announcement about the aband.on.ment of d'irect transmission was made. Listeners who heard the commentary from 3.45" a.m. to 4.5 a.m. last Sunday were surprised at* the clarity of reception.
