Communist party 'eaders from Russia and the Eastern nations , started the meeting on Saturday ih i Karpacz, in lower Silesia. Informed sources say that theCominform intends to try every way to wreek Yugoslavia's economy as a punishment for Marshal Tito's devia'tiin from its princip.es. These sources predict increased propaganda attacks against the .North Atlantic Pact and the European ' Recovery Programme. Meanwhile, the Associated Press' Paris correspondent says khere are signs that Yugoslavia and - the Wjgstern Powers may be approaching an official ecpnomic understanding. The American Ambassador in Yugos'avia, Mr. Cavendish Cannon, saw Mr. Dean Acheson in Paris today and a spokesman for Mr. Acheson said that thev ta ked about European co-operation. It is assubaed that, thev discussed either the granting of Economic Co-operation Administration funds to Yugislavia or the lif ting of eertain restrictions on the sending of supplies to Yugoslavia.
