Duncan, Far Eastern manager of LevcBr^p., said British firms have planned ■o remain in Shanghai and other Chma 'rade centres. Bir Harold Ilowitt, •hairman of a lirm of ehartercd aecountants, who is on a world tour, said he believed the Communists would "just have to trade with the West." He was sure the Commuuists vould not attempt to kiek the British out of Ilong Kong because "they know whicii side i their bread is buttered."
