United Nations Authority Speaks In Levin

Bloodworth, when answering questions following his talk on the United Nations Organisa'.ion at the quarterly public meeting of the Levin branch of the United Nations Association. The, people should not believe in the inevitabi ity of war, he said, or e.se there most assuredly would be war. With- all i s 'defects the United Nations Organisa.ion was the rest machine mankind had yet devised, but it would only work if the people of the world were determined to make ifc work. The speaker, whose address was listene'd to wi'th interest by some 40) citizens and members of the asIsociation, is president of the United Nations Organis'acion of New Zealand and is a member of the Legisative Council. He is also a member of the Auckland City Councib He was introduced to the meeting by the president of the Levin association, Mr. E. R. Winkler. Memb'ers of the Levin Junior National Party were also in attendance.
