The club had continued to function in its several phases and could, on the whole; point to a f~ir.y successful year, said the president oi the Levin Ro.ary Club, Dr. S. J. Thompson, in the course of his review at -the' annual meeting of members, he d on Wednesday n'ght There was an excellent attendance Activities which the club had undertakfen in the pas^ had been maintained and a new organisatioh', the Levin Society of Arts anct Crafts, had been set up, conti|iuea Dr. Thompson. Four new members had joine'd the ciub's' ranks. The programme committee had provided an interesling and varied series of addresses for the ciub's weekiy meetings, said Dr. Thompson. During the year the club had receive'd a visit from the Hutt ciut and, ' forowing luncheon, the visitors had been taken over the Levin BoyS' Training Centre at the ipvitatio-n of the ^manager, Mr. E. J. Stanley, and over a stud farm at the invitation of Mr. R. C. Penman Later the c'ub had paid its officia' visit to the Hutt club, when members had been taken to severa beauty spots, a biscui-t factory and a motor plant. Dr. Thompson also referred to the success of the nicnic arranged by the club each year for the paiients at the Levin Farm and to the work of members in sending food parcels to Britain.
