Maori All Blacks Trounce New England
ARMIDALE, (N.S.W.), June 8. The Maoris beat New England 42— 10, The Maori team wa«! Tgylor, McKinley, Cherrington, Dela,mere, Smith, Couch, Kepa, Marriner, Heperi, Blake L, Rohaia, Bpyera, R. Hohaia, Matthew, West. Within a minutes of the opening New England attaeked. Coueh dropped a pass at halfway and the New England fiye-eighth, V. Eishburn, passed ouf to the ,half, K. Sannotis, who seored under the posts. R. Jones eonverted. From then on the Maoris took cliarge and seored six tries, three of which were eonverted, before halftime when they led 24 — 5. In this half two tries were seored by Blake and the others by Russ Hohaia, MeKinley, Cherrington and Taylor. Tn the seconcj half Cherrington wa3 earried of with bruised ribs but may be fit for the Teat on Saturday. Tho Maoris overwhelmed the oppositinn, scoring ,easily and at will, finishing with six more tries. Tliere were scoreii by Cherrington, Delamere, Blake, Matthew, West and Coueh. "V. Fishlnirn seored a trv and R. Jones eonverted for New England in the ssoond half.
