AUCKLAND, June 7. An Auckland Veterans ' Home in Mt. Eoskill, is to be purchased jointly by : the N.ew Zealand Patriotie Eund Board and Canteen Fund Board. . A * decision t'o this effect was reached at a meeting in Auckland between representatives oi the two Fund Boards and Home Board. The price to be paid by the fund board* to the Auckland board is £31,000. • Tht. purchase includes the whole of the pre sent eiglit acre property, existing build ings and improvements and furniture and equipment. The puycha^e will be eoinpleted after it has been ratilied btv Parliament during the coming session. The purchase is expected to result in the eventual enlargement .of the Home and in additional aceomiAodation being made available for aged war veterans.
