"Skipper" Francis On Way To England

Beceived Tuesdav, 10.15 p.m. SYDNEY, June 7. Mr. W. W. "Skipper" .Francis, the • erippled New Zealand song writer, arrived at Rydnev tonight by air on his way to England to open a trust fund for British cripples., He is organiser of the Rkipper trust fund for New Zealand cripples. Ten days ago New Zealand doctors gave him a few weeks to live and while in England he hopes to see if English doetors can do anything for him. Mr. Francis said the New Zealand fund had benefited thousands of cripples by granting them free trips throngh the Dominion and by distri'buting flowers to them to brighten their lives. "We get funds for the trust by collecting in all parts of New Zealand and T fcel sure England will be as generous to her cripples as New Zealand is. Tn London I hope to open a branch of the Rkipper trust fund." Mr. Francis leaves by air for England tomorrow night.
