The unnamed Ring Ring prisoner whose hlondstream doctors last week joined to that of a yonng girl snfFering from Ipimhaemia, had shown no ill effects, Wardpn William Rnvder, of Rint.' Ring, said to-dav. Thp doctors had feared that the dpadlv whitp cells from thp girl's blood might transfpr thp diseas" fo him. Wardpn Rnyder said thp prisoner was working in the prison hospita! while the doctors waited to see if he sufiTered any ill effpcts. The doctors joined the prisoner's hloodstream by a rubber tubing, with that of thp girl at Ossining "FTospital. in an pffort to purifv the chijd's blood of wildlv spreading whitp blood cells characteristic of leuchaemia. Ossining Hospital reported to-dav that the girl had returned home, but her doctor had not yet reported on the effects of the exppriment. Warden Rnyder said that recommendations on behalf of the prisoner undoubtedlv would be sent to the Governor. TTe revealed that 12 prisoners had volunteered for the experiment.
