Mr. and 3Mrs. Gordori Jarrett arid their son, John, Who have rieeri. spending a holiday with Mrs. Jarrett's mother, Mrs. R. Davies, Princes Street, Levin, have returned to their home in Waitoa. The appointme'nts bf Mr. R. E. Owen as Government Printer.and Mr. W. A. Baker as works inanager of the Government Pririting_ Office, are announced by the Public Service Commissioner. The position of Government Printer was made vacant by the death of Mr. E. V. Paul on March 31. The United kingdom Government announces -.the appointment of ]\frr. C. R. Price, C.M.G., at present Deputy High Cominissioner for the United Kingdom iri Australia, as High Commissioner for the United Kingdom in New Zealand in succession ro Sir . Patrick Duff, K.C.B., K.C.V.O. Mr. Price will take up his ddties ab'out the mfddle of September.
