Personal. Misses M. and D. Bills, of Mill Road, are visiting relatives in Wanganui. Messrs A. J. and E. A. Fogden, of Tasman Road, left on Monday to atten'd the funeral of their brother at Otahuhu. Mr. John Beck, of Rangiuru, who has not been enjoying good health for some time, enters hospital this week to undergo an operation. ■ His many friends will regret to hear of L-he sudden passing at Hamilton on Sunday of Mr. Wuliam Francis Fogden, who resiaeu lor many years at Lupm Road, otaki, and lately at- Barracks Road, Ellerslie. - .While accompanying a visiting sister from Masterton to Hamilton nospital, where another sister iies seriously iil, Mr. Fogden passed away au the wheel oi his car. Weather Spoils Holiday. The weather was anything but Kind lor tne King's Birthday weekend in Otaki. Rain eariy on Saturtiay atternoon became very persistent throughout the nigh., and again on Sunday and Monday nignts. Conaitions as a resulo were very damp and, with no sign of the sun on either of tne three days, the amiosphere generaliy was gioomy. sports teams covered a wide area on Monuay, Feilding, Shannon and Wanganui eacn uakmg ics' quota, many being called on to leave cefore dayaght.
