Mr. and Mrs. H. Redshaw, of Newtown, have arrived home after spending a. few days in Wanganui, " The friends Of .the Hassell family will regret to learn of.the sudden death at Koputaroa on Tuesday night of Mr,.; John Hassell. Mrs; E. f. '.Gunriing, of Stoutl Strfeet, has returned^ home after spending a.holiday with her daughter and *son-in-law at' Hamilton. Mr. Ron Gardner and Miss. P. Sullivan, wha have been hdlidaying with Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Gardner, Whittaker Street, returned to the South Island by air on Monday. Word has been received locally of the death in New Plymouth of Mr. H. Wiggins, who was, a' resident of Shannon many years ago. There also passed away in Palmerston North recently another of the town's well respected citizens of a few years ago, Mrs. J. Crawford. The family is also well-known- in Mangaore.
