In Auckland They Queue For Oysters
AUCKLAND, June 2. The queue has become part of eity life — Aucklanders queue for sweets, buses, cigar-ettes and opera tickcts. This morning it was oysters. Despite the cool showery weather, a queue formed before the Government oyster depot opened at 9 a.m. and the demand was heavy throughout the morning. Picking started some days ago but saies did not begin until' today. The oysters sold in Aucldand this morning were from many beds from the Bay of Islands to Bluff. The season will last about nine weeks.
