Delicate Situation Obtains In Bolivia
f Received Thursdav, 7 p.m. LA PAZ, June 1. The Bolivian police have arrested the acting chief of the Right Wing national revolutiqnarv movement which the Government has accused of engineering a revolutipnary plpt. He is Mario Diez Demedina, the party's leader in the absence of Yictor Paz Estenssoro who is in exile in Btienos Aires. Two other party leaders took asyhim in the Argentine Embassy. Acting President Nemerto TJrriolagoitia said today that strikes had paralysed railroads and mines in most parts of Bolivia but the Government was in complete control. He said there would be no Government discriminatipn against labour. Thp Government was receiving pledges of lovalty from provinical departments throughout southern and eastern Bolivia. Acting Premier Urriolagoitia is a.eting in placp of President Ehrique Hertzog who is on sick leave. TJxiofficial reports from the provinces, today indicated that the situation was still delicate. Five thousand facto.ry workers in La Paz threatened to strikn today unless the Government broughi home the Labour Hnion leaders exijed in Chile last weekend as revolutionary plotters.
