AUCKLAND, June 1. The Australian Universities Rugby team had absolutely no eomplaint wit i the treatment it had received on the field or off it in New Zealand, said the manager, Dr. R. Maekey, to-day. Il»said remarks attributed to him about tactics on the playing field were the re sult of a misunderstanding for he hau no complaints to make and no allega tions to ievel against New Zealam. players. The tour had been wonderfu and the Australians had been very happy on the field and away from it, said Mr Mackey. "1 have the highest praise for what we have learned here. He have not experienced any dirty play but there has been plenty of good hara football. "We had to increase the hardness of our play to match that of the New Zea landers. That meant kicking the bali harder and more often and I meam more deeisive tackling. For instance, the field was very muddy when we play ed last Saturday and we had to con centrate more on kicking the bali than on dribbling. That was the point i maai when I said that our team had to kic.j. harder and more often since we havt been in New Zealand. We have iearneu to play much more vigorousiy than Wv had been accustomed to because youi players are more vigorous," said D. iviackey. "However, all games in New Zealand have been piayed in the best possible spirit. "
