He leaves tliis week on the Wanganellq with trainer Jack O'Brien for Christchurch where a joi) and accommodation have been arranged for him. Mr. O 'Brien said he hoped later to induce the best of his former string of 30 boxers, to visit New Zealand for matches thero. Boxing cireles in Brisbane say there may be obstacles to Higham turning professional because his £200 Olympic bond provided he would not do so within two vears 'of sailing for the Games in May 1948.
