Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jamieson, Jnr., of Hamilton, have arrived for the jubilee celebrations and are the guests of Mr. Jamieson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. Jamieson, Kara Road. Workers Transferred. A number of workers who have been engaged at the flax plantation at Moutoa have been transferred to the Railways Department for urgent work on the railway line. Some of the men are transported daily . to Longburn, while others are working at the locai railway? yards»:." p v * Jubilee Books Sell Rapidly. : Although the school jubilee booklets only arrived in Shannon at 2.30 p.m. yesterday it was not long before the public was seeking copies. School children acted as salesmen in the outlying districts and copies are available from a number of business people. Over the' weekend the booklets will be available from Messrs J. . T. Bovis or T. S. Downes. The football club's souvenir booklet also met with a ready sale.
