WELLINGTON, May 31. Almost at the last minute, a final •andidate -entered the Miss New Zealand quest to-day. She is Miss Patricia Shortt, aged 25, from Morere Springs. She is being ^ponsored by the Wairoa Ilomeservicemen's Association. She is the only candidate from that area, She automa'tically becomes Miss East Cdast and will come to Wellington for the judging beginning June 14. Miss Shortt 's entry brings the total nupiber of candidates in the quest to 22. There •will be 13 in the final judging.
