LONDON, May 30. Official statistics for England and Yales pablished to-day showed that 26537 more civilians died in 1947 than in 7946. The death-rate was 12.3 per 1000 of t'le eivilian population, compared vith 12 in the previous year. The average for 10 years preceding the war is 12.1. Deaths due to diseases of thp coronarv arteries and angina pectoris ■showed an abnormal inerease. Over the ' oeriod 1938 to 1947 deaths attributed to this canse iuereased by about 80 per ■ent.
