Liverpool Dockers Go Out On Strike
LONDON, May 31. Three thousand Liverpool dockers ar» now on strike in svmpathy with the Ca nadian Seamen's ITnion and work eea.sfd on 21 ships. "Dockers at Avonmonrh and Bristol decided to send delegates to all major British ports to explain their case and ask support. The Mi'nister of Labonr, Mr Geovr. Tsaacs, who reported to Cabinet on the west coast dockers' strikes and weckend strikes bv railwavmen in the north east of England, later ui'ged railwav[men to abandon their "irresponsible action." He warned them that their present method of trying .to settle the probleni was a "danger signal. " The dangers were inconvenience to the pub lic, damage to indnstrial collective bareaining and the repndiation of trade unions. Railwavmen protesting against new working seheduies have announced thar thev will keep striking every Sundav nntil their claims are met.
