Gun-fight Rescue From Soviet Agents

- Received Sunday, 7 p.m. LONDON, May 28. A gunfight between Turkish police and Soviet agents, which ended in the rescue by the police of the fugitive wife of a former Soviet diplomat, l'a reported by Turkish newspapers aecording to the Associated Press Istanbul correspondent. The report said tlie woman fought likp a- wounded tigress until the police arrived and shot it out with the agents. The woman was Mrs. Sanober Khas■^onova who vanished from the Embassy in 1948 when her husband, then secona se'retarv, was recalled to Russia. Mr. Khassanova was alleged to have been drugged before being taken back to Russia. His wife went into hiding in Anatolia. The Russian agents were said to have been overpowered after a gunfight in an hotel room on the- Mediterranean coast. What happened to the agents is not known. Official circles refused to comment on the story.
