SHANNON AND ATHLETIC JUNIORS DRAW.

Shannon juniors played Athletic to a no-score draw. The game was hard and fast, and dominated by forward' play. Athletic had first use of the wind, but could not turn it to advantage. Play surged from one end of the field to the other and many promis, ing moves broke down through the backs being unable to handle the greasy ball. A noticeable feature was the fact that three kickers hit the posts with penalty klcks, two for Shannon and one for Athletic. For Shannon, Te Tomo, Spring, Rolston and Southee were the pick of a hard-Working pack and J. Cole, Roberts and Jamieson the be&t of the backs. For Athletic, Judd, McMinn, Wilson, Gwynn and Bonner stood out in the forwards, and P. and J. Ryan and P. Cameron in the backs.
