Pretty Otaki Bride With Retinue Of Four

Neath a white and silver wedding. bell Pamela Ahne, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. Radcliffe, Otaki Beach, was married on April 30 in the Otaki Methodist Church, to Ian, second soii of Mr. and Mrs. R. Robinson, Manakau, the Rev. R. Grice officiating. The church was beautifudy decorated for the occasiori with white chrysanthemums, blue delphiniums, sweet peas and maidenhair fern. The bride entered the church escorted by her father and made a lovely picture in her gown of softly

.flowing white georgette, simply made with yoke and daintilv scolloped peplum of lace. Her beautiful veil of Brussels lace, a family heirloom, was worn over the face on entering the church, and fell gracefully over the train of the wedding gown. A pretty halo of white nerines held the veil in nlace and a string of pearls, the gift of ihe bridegroom, completed a charming tofetfce. Her shower bouquet was- of white roses, chrysanthemums, nerines and maidenhair fern. In striking contrast to the darkhairde bride were her four fair. bridesmaids, Misses Moorea Waliington (chief) and Valerie Macjdonald, of Tawa Flat, and Misses Daie and Adrienne Carley, of Wellington, cousins of the bride. All wore soft b ue gowns, with very full crinoline skirts, tiny puffed sleeves and circular frilly neck ines. They wore blue silk mittens and carried posies oi white rosebuds, chrysanthemums rnd blue delphinium, and wore matching floral half circlets in their hair. On ieaving the church a satin horse shoe was presented to the bride by her small brother, Rodney.

During the service a solo, "My Prayer," was beautifully rendered by Mrs. Ray Robinson. * The bridegroom was attended by his brothers, Messrs Roy and Ray Robinson, and Messrs Frank Corbe t rnd Bruce Horn were ushers. The Anglican Hall was attractiveiy decorated with ferns, flowers gmd s reamers of bue and white |br the receuticn. Mrs. Radcliffe, in a pastel green wool suit, pretty:. |reen ribbon hat, and shouldefi spray of deep red roses, and with burgundv accessories, received tbie guests, assisted by Mrs. Robinson, * WCctiixig a. vvixio xjtxiu, smart \virie fiat trimmed with gold, wine accessories and a shoulder spray of gold roses. Many eongratulatory telegrams were received -from both the North and South Islands and the young couple were the recipient« of many lovely gifts. For traveliing the bride chose a smart oatmeal wool suit, oatmeal "sweetheart" hat, with dark brown Velvet trimming, and dark. brown accspsories,. and. wor.e an'-orchid •^houlder spray! of toning -cplbur. Mr. and Mrs. Ian Robinson's future home will be in Manakau.
