Personal. , « Mrs. E. W. Smith, of Tasman Road, returned to hsr home yesterday after a fortnight in Auckland. Mrs. L. Walsh and her daughter, Melva, of Matene Street, who have been visiting relatives in Carterton, returned home at the weekend. Welcome to Headmaster. Parents and citizens will be given the opportunity of welcoming the new State School headmaster, Mr. O. Yates, on Thursday night at a function arranged by the Home and School Association. Choosing Labour Candidate. Voting papers are being distributed to decide which of five nominees will be the candidate to represent the Labour Party for the Otaki seat. The decision is expected to be made known towards the end of the month. Motor-cyclist Injured. A coilision between a motorcycle and a car on Beach Road, Paraparaumu, at the weekend resulted in Mr. R. Roseman being taken to Wellington Huspital. He was riding the motor-cycle and was catapulted against one of the car's windows, receiving severe head injuries. His conaition has been reported as improving.
