Commenting to a "Chronicle" representa'ive later, the judges said that the exhibition as a whole waS wbll back tb the standard seen befOre the wdr, It was high generally and inost pleasing. The Winning stall had a good selection of need'ework Of , exceptiqnal quality and generaily there was plenty of variety, There was also some very good basketrv and the thrift rugs were excellent. - „ One stall which was not placed th5 Otaki W.I.. exhibit) had good •■amp'es of hand-paihted china, which the judges described as really excellent work.
