Annual Meeting Of Levin Music Club

The annual meeting of the Levin Music Club was held recently in the Presbyterian Church Hall. the retiring presideht, Mr. F. Baumber, presiding. In his report to the meeting, Mr. Baumber stated that owing to sickness among members it had been a trying year, but the membership had been maintained. The choir had provided items aW eVery .monthly meeting and these. were very much appreciated. "During the year two gramophone evenings were given for the club. The flsrt, arranged bv Mr. M. Smith and held in the co'lege library, cohsisted of recordings of a varied nature and was ehjoyed by all present," he said. "For the secon-d evening the. gramophone and recordings of excerpts from light opeta were made available bv the courtesy of Mr. K, Wyness." In concrusion Mr. Baumber extended his thanks to the members of the committee who had worked and co-operated With liim throughout the year. The election of officers resulted as foilows: — President: Mrs. F. S Ahen; vice-oresi'dent: Mrs. H Easton; secretary-treasurer: Mrs G. H. Andrews; committee: MeSdames I. Taylor and D. P, Todd, and Miss M. Rvrie. The first meeting of the club foE 1949 will be held tonight in the ; Presbyterian Church Hall. These meetings are oDen to all lovers of music^ and merilbers and . friends 1 are cordiaTy invited to attend.
