RAHUI FOURTHS TOO STRONG FOR COLLEGE B

A lively game was provided by Rahui and Coliege B fourths as the curtain raiser at Otaki. While the margin of 20 points to three in favour of Rahui was decisive, it was on.y in the last quarter that they asserted their superiority. Coliege gave a good display until their defence crumbled, The ha'f time score was 6 — 0 in Rahui's^ favour, I. Mudge and T. Waldrom each scoring. The second half opened with Smith ahd Waldrom heading a rush, but Coliege quickly reversed the order and Sciascia scored for the visitors. This reverse saw Rahui forwards show to advantage ahd S. Fox picked up and went over when the Coliege full-back fumbled. D, Smith eonverted ahd Rahui led 11—3. Waldrom scored again and also S. Fox, and almost at the final whistle, when defending near the line, a Coliege back kicked behind the line a.nd U. Mather received the ball as he raced up. Mr. D. Hoone was refetee.
