Public Farewell Arranged. At a public meeting held in the council chambers on Wednesday evening, it was agreed that a public farewell be tendered Mr. and Mrs. T. Sunley, formerly of Shannon and now of Levin. Mr. Sunley was for many years in charge of the sub-station in Shannon and his extensive services to the public of the district over those years have been most valued. *£he function is to be held in the Druids' Hall on Thursday, May 26. It was pointed out to the meeting that owing to the carnival and other functions being held, and later Mr. Sunley's holidays taking place the arrangements had heen somewhat delayed.
