Meat Talks Break Down In Argentina

-Received Sundav, 7 p.m. BUENOS AIBES, May 14. The Argentine xneat talks liave broken down on price, it was learnecl from Argentine Foreign Ministry Hources tonight. The Argentine Ministers of eeonomy and Finanec were understood to have informed tnfe Foreign Minister, Dr. Juan Bramuglia, that tliev eould not accept Britaxn's latest offer eommunieated to them today by the Ambassador, Sir John Balfour. The Eeonomics Minister, Senor Roberto Ares, and the Finance Minister, Signor Gotnez Morales, were understood to have stressed to Dr. Bramuglia the impossibility of accepting Britain 's "last. word ' ; offer of one peso ten centavos per kilogram (about 15 cents per lb.) at the - s-pecial rate of 13.53 pesos per £1 sterling used in meat transactions. Argentine packing housek maintain that the minimuin price should be one peso 40 centavos per kilogram or 19 eents per lb. A Foreign Ministry spokesman said that as the eommereial negotiations had now broken down, the situation would be handled through diplomatic ehannels.
