New Export Levy Rates For Hides
WELLINGTON, May 13. The reduction in the export levy rates for ox, eow, bull ancl calf hidevS announced by the_ Hides Committee is the result of a furtlier easing .pf overseas priees for hides. The levy rates for.ox and cow (401b and up), eow (under.401b), bull (all weights), yearling all ■weights), and ealf (all weights) are given in that order for the following: Ereezers 9Jd, 9^d, 121d, 7d, 16/1 ; abattoirs, 94d, 9-ld, 12Jd, 7d, 16d, 20d; country buteher, 94d, 9M, 12Jd, „7d,- 16d, 20d; farmers, 7d, 7d, 7d, 7d, 16d, 20d. The new rates will operate on all hides purchased at public auetion or by tender on and after Monday.
