Received Thursday, iu a.m. CAPETOWN, May 11. The South Africaii Pbime Minister, Dr. Malan, said today that South Africa was united in its wish co remain in the Commonwealth In any bircUihstancbs. Dr. Malan disclosed that it was at his fequest at the Londoh conferenee of Dominion Prime Ministers that the r&solution was adbpted stating that the King's position ks head of the Commonwealth did not imply a change in its members' rights, He said that if the Dominiotis' conferenee had not been able to aehieve the result it did in defining India's position, it would have lost 'morp than Inda with its 400,000,090 inhabitants." ^p. the threatening "onB j.aai... was an important bastion in Asia.
