Memorial Pulpit For St. Andrew's Church

A new pulpit has heen installed in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Levin, as a congregationa' memorial to the late Mr. William Davie, clerkr of session and elder of many yea-rs' standing. Designed by Rev. D. M. Hercus, B.E., of Wellington, the pulpit was built local'y and is in harmony with the clerign already embodied in the baptismal font and communion ^able. The memorial pulpit, which will be dedicated at the morni'ng service on Sunday, bears a silver plate with the following wording inscribed: "In memory of William Davie, clerk of session and servant of this congregation for 24 years. Romans XII (Not slothful in business, feivent in spirit, serving ihe Lord.) " .
