PersanaL Local friends of Mr. and Mrs. V. Husband, of Foxton, will regret to learn of the sudden passing of their daughter, Miss Betty Husband, on Sunday morning. At the time of her passing she was engaged in clerical 'duties at the Foxton School. Footballers Injured. The Shannon senior football team is unfortunate in having four of its players out of the team on account of injuries. They are Messrs T. Pratt, N. Callesen, T. Rauhihi and S. Chester. These men are all well-known players and their absence from the team will be felt considerably. Deer Stalkers Return. After spending five weeks in the back country of Gore, Messrs Geo. and P. Wilkinson, of Newtown, and Geddies, of Thames, returne'd home last Saturday. All reported excelient hunting eonditions in this part of the South Island and Mr. G. Wilkinson was successful in returning with a very fine wapiti head.
