Important Days For N.Z. Labour Party
WELLINGTON, May 10. The policy with which the Government will seek a further mandate from the electors towards the end of'this year, will be coordinated at important •Labour Party meetings and conferences in Wellington in the course of the next fortnight. Cabinet will hold a three-day meeting on Priday, Saturday and Sunday next. A Parliamentary caueus will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday and, if necessary, on Thursday and Friday of next week. Following the caucus the Labour Party coixference will open on Saturday, May 21 and continue until Wednesday or Thursday of the following week. The New Zealand Federation of Labour eonference will open next Tuesday and continue on the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The National Party is also preparing for a session and on Friday this week a one-day caucus of its Parliamentary members will be held in Wellington. The suspension of the New Zealand Waterside Workers' Union from mentbership of the Federation of Labour until it has apologised for and withdrawn an allegedly insulting letter, is proposed by the national executive of the federation. The executive decided today to recommend this aetion to the annual eonference of delegates which will open in Wellington on Tuesday next.
